Add to CalendarThe presentation is on how the Government of Kenya is restoring the degraded forest areas with the communities. Kenya has Five major catchment areas among others. This is where most of the rivers originate. These rivers are the main support systems for the livelihood and economy of the people. this includes farming, power generation and other ecosystem services. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry through Kenya Forest Service and the Ministry of Energy have worked together with the communities to achieve the restoration. The sururu area in the Mau catchment was restored with the support of the African Development Bank.
