TRAVELING TO NAIROBI
Nairobi is served by Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the biggest airport in Kenya, with direct flights to destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
Please note that most nationalities are required to obtain an electronic travel authorization (eTA) before traveling to Kenya. Apply for your eTA here.
The Global Landscapes Forum does not provide funding to attend the conference in Nairobi, nor will it sponsor visa requests or travel arrangements.
INTERESTING THINGS TO DO IN NAIROBI
Nairobi National Park
Treat yourself with a Safari in the world’s only wildlife capital. The park is located seven kilometers from Nairobi’s central business district and offers a variety of wildlife, picnic sites, campsites and hiking trails.
Nairobi National Museum
The museum showcases Kenya’s heritage with four themes representing culture, nature, history and art. Other things include a snake park, botanical gardens, an art auditorium, dining and shopping facilities.
Karura Forest
Located next to the CIFOR-ICRAF Nairobi Campus, Karura Forest is a 1,041-hectare urban nature reserve offering a wide range of walks and hikes and hosting hundreds of species of wildlife.
