GLF Africa 2026: Stewarding Our Rangelands is a two-day hybrid conference that will showcase innovative solutions for Africa’s rangelands and pastoralists.
Held in Nairobi, Kenya, and online, the event will bring together 8,000 people in a global call to action to mark the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists.
The conference will take place from 6–7 May 2026. The online conference platform will open on 22 April.
UTC+3 (Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Istanbul). The agenda will be displayed in this time zone.
The conference will take place at the CIFOR-ICRAF campus in Nairobi, Kenya, and online.

If you ‘re joining us online, yes! You can also choose to buy a solidarity online pass for US$50. Your donation will help us support restoration leaders and local communities from across the Global South. If you ‘re joining us in person, tickets are available from just US$12 with an early-bird discount.
We also offer discounts for youth aged 35 and under, Indigenous and pastoralist representatives, and anyone involved with a community-based organization or NGO based in a Global South country*.
*Low-income, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle-income economies according to the World Bank.
With an online ticket, you will be able to attend both days of the conference (6 and 7 May).
When purchasing an in-person ticket, you will have the option of attending on 6 May, 7 May or both days.

If you’ll be attending in person, the event will be held at the CIFOR-ICRAF campus in Nairobi, Kenya. We will be in touch soon via email with more information.
Once the online event platform is open, you can personalize your agenda by bookmarking your favorite sessions, browsing the speakers, signing up for pre-event activities, networking with fellow participants and more.
After the event, you will have full access to the event platform until 21 May.

This event is available in English, French, Swahili and Portuguese.
If you’re attending the event online, simply open the live stream and select your preferred language. You will see the translated text in a box below the video player. To listen to the translated audio, mute the YouTube stream and click the speaker icon next to the language option.
If you’re attending the event in person, you’ll be able to listen to the live interpretation using a headset. Instructions for live interpretation will be distributed around the room. Please remember to bring a charged phone and headsets.
You can rewatch all sessions on demand by simply navigating to the Agenda tab in the navigation menu on the left side of your screen. Click the toggle button to show past sessions. This will enable you to replay all past hybrid and digital sessions on demand.
These recordings will be available for two weeks after the event. After that, you’ll be able to rewatch them on the event page.
You can claim your certificate by completing our post-event survey, which will be sent out via email immediately after the event. Please allow a few days for processing.
