Tabitha Mugo

Tabitha Mugo is a lecturer in the Department of Tourism & Tour Operations Management, School of Tourism, Hospitality & Events Management, Moi University, Kenya, where she teaches and supervises research projects at both undergraduate and masters levels. Her research interests revolve around landscape governance, sustainability issues, community-based tourism, as well as biodiversity conservation and development linkage. Specifically, she focuses on partnerships as forms of governance in landscapes and sustainable development. Tabitha holds a PhD from Wageningen University, Netherlands-(Thesis titled ‘Governing Landscapes through Partnerships: Lessons from Amboseli, Kenya’), a Masters in Tourism Management and a BSc Forest Management from Moi University-Kenya, and a Diploma in Information Technology from Brisbane Institute of Technical and Further Education [TAFE], Australia.
