Dr. Mordecai Ogada is a Kenyan carnivore ecologist and conservation policy scholar with over 20 years’ experience in Kenya and other parts of Africa, mainly on human-wildlife conflict issues. He has taught ecology and conservation science several universities in Kenya and the US. His current work focuses on the challenges of racism and other prejudices in the global conservation arena. He is also researching and writing on the ethical challenges of the global climate movement and sustainability, including the protection of natural resource rights of indigenous people in the Global South. Dr. Ogada currently works as a conservation policy consultant based in Nanyuki, Kenya.
