Ismail M. Moumouni holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt University in Berlin and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Kassel in Germany. He is currently a teacher-researcher in Agrosociology at the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Parakou in Benin.
Since 2017, he has been the director of the Research Laboratory on Innovation for Agricultural Development (LRIDA). The LRIDA contributes to reflection and action for agricultural development through peasant innovation at the socio-technical, organizational and institutional levels.
As an expert in agricultural advice and innovation, he assists several national and international public and private organizations in the design, implementation and evaluation of agricultural advisory policies, systems and methodological guides.
