Dr. Yuliya BORISSOVA(nee Kolesnichenko) is a Lecturer in the Department of Forest Resources and Game Management, Faculty of Forest, Land Resources and Phytosanitary, at the Kazakh National Agrarian University in Almaty. She formerly served as Mycologist at the Laboratory of Mycology and Algology, Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction, and Head of Department for monitoring and control for quality of forest seedsat the Kazakh State Republic Forest Seed Enterprisein Almaty. She received her PhD and MSc in Forest Resources and Silviculture and Engineer of Forestry from the Kazakh National Agrarian University, Kazakhstan. Her research interests are in pathology and agrotechnology of growing pine seedlings with particular interest in the Tugai (riparian) forests.
