Yougha von Laer is working for WWF Germany since 2013, and has been responsible for the implementation of forest and climate pilot projects in Indonesia, Russia Far East and the Democratic Republic of Congo, before she started working on bankable projects in order to leverage private money to shift from unsustainable to sustainable business. Yougha is the forest lead on WWFs Land Use Bankable projects Hub that supports activities relating to agriculture, agroforestry, and forestry bankable projects that are embedded into a sustainable landscape approach, as part of the wider WWF Bankable Nature Solutions programme. This also includes identifying and developing promising sustainable land use projects, and increasing and supporting financing for projects. Before joining WWF, Yougha was the key responsible person for the technical implementation of Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) projects worldwide at South Pole, one of the leading developers of climate protection projects.
