Dr. Winston Asante is a researcher and climate change practitioner. He operates in a unique interphase of research and development, where he uses his climate change and natural resources management research to inform community level interventions, and the vice-versa. He has extensively worked with community people on sustainable climate – smart and governance interventions in smallholder farming systems for the past fifteen years. Winston has had working engagements on climate change interventions with local communities, civil society organizations and state actors in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Liberia and Nigeria. Dr. Asante is a currently a full time lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, in Ghana, and also consults as a Technical Advisor on Climate Change and Natural Resources Management at Solidaridad West Africa, where he manages the Ghana Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Local Communities Project (DGM).
