Walter Sangama Sangama

Walter Sangama is a community leader and president of the Federation of Kichwa Indigenous Peoples of Region San Martín (FEPIKRESAM), an indigenous organization representing 15 native communities in the province of Lamas in San Martín (14 Kichwas and 1 Shawi). He leads the board towards connecting native communities with other organizations to join forces and generate an indigenous economy based on respect for the worldview of native peoples, the potential of their territories and the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices.
