Dr Tuti Herawati is a policy analyst at Forestry and Environment Research and Development Agency (FOERDA), Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia. In 2014-2018, She was a seconded scientist to Forest and Governance Research Portfolio at the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).
She started her professional career in 1998 at the Directorate General of Land Rehabilitation and Social Forestry, the Ministry of Forestry of Indonesia, focusing on rehabilitation and social forestry programs, including mangrove forest area.
Dr Herawati obtained her Doctoral Degree from Bogor Agricultural University in 2011 on community forestry policy analysis. Her research interest includes community-based forest management, social forestry policy, and multi-level governance. Through her scientific work, she aims to incorporate evidence into policy development and implementation process.
