Tony Hill

Tony has a background in forestry, with diverse experience spanning 35 years in rural livelihoods, small business development and social mobilisation. Before joining Proforest he worked in various NGO and public sector institutions across Africa, South Asia and small island territories. Operating at the interface of socioeconomic development and sustainable natural resource management, he has led delivery of programmes to develop local forest enterprise, decentralised governance of forest resources, sustainable farming and agroforestry systems, better management of watersheds and conservation of fragile ecosystems. He coordinates work on responsible smallholder production and support for sustainable smallholder livelihoods across Proforest.
