Dr. Tonny Wagey has more than 25 years of experience in the field of fisheries, oceanography and environmental management. He holds a PhD degree in Fisheries and Oceanography from the University of British Columbia, Canada and has contributed in numerous projects on marine and coastal management in the Asia Pacific region. He is currently the Executive Director of ICCTF (Indonesian Climate Change Trust Fund) an organization under BAPPENAS. Prior to ICCTF, he was the Regional Project Manager of the Arafura and Timor Seas Ecosystem Action, a United Nation Development Project for over 8 years. He is also involved in the International Working Group of Blue Carbon focusing on mitigation and adaptation measures of marine and coastal carbon.
