Thomas Yaw Gyambrah is currently the lead person on Ghana’s Premiere REDD+ Programme; The Ghana Cocoa Forest REDD+ Program (GCFRP). In this position, Thomas coordinates ac- tions/activities for the successful implementation of the GCFRP. Through this process, he serves as the link between government, private sector and the communities in the landscape and brokers strategic partnerships for the program’s implementation. He was part of the team that successfully negotiated the Emission Reduction Payment Agreement with the World Bank for payment of potential Emission Reductions from the GCFRP. Thomas also leads efforts towards mainstreaming the activities of Forest and Farmer based Producer Organisations to ensure that they produce from Climate Resilient landscapes. He has more than a decade experience in Natural Resources Management in Ghana. Mr Thomas holds a Masters in Ecological Economics from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
