Tatiana Minayeva studied biology in Moscow University and worked as researcher and scientific consultant for the Russian Government in nature conservation, land use planning as well as international affairs in environment, representing Russian Federation at CAFF and Ramsar. Since 1997, she has been cooperating with Wetlands International Russia Office on peatlands and Arctic wetlands conservation. Since 2009, she worked in Wetlands International’a Global office in the Netherlands as Arctic Officer with a focus on permafrost ecosystem management in connection with traditional and industrial land use. Tatiana applied her knowledge on permafrost ecosystems while working in the Mongolian highland peatlands. Tatiana is Managing Director of Care for Ecosystems UG, an environmental consultant based in Germany and Associate expert in Wetlands International. Tatiana cooperates with several agencies in Germany and Convention Secretariats to provide analytics and policy review and assists Wetlands International to implement projects in the Arctic, Mongolia, and the Nile Basin, etc. Tatiana holds several honorary charts as well as two awards from the Russian Ministry of Nature Resources and Environment, 2011 – “For The Distinguished Input Into Development of Protected Natural Areas in Russian Federation” and in 2003 – “For Excellence in Nature Conservation”. Tatiana has a Doctorate degree of Botany from the Russian Academy of Sciences.
