Ms. Tangu Tumeo worked on the national Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) opportunities assessment and implementation strategy development. She is supporting the Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining with the integration of the assessment results into government planning and budgeting. Furthermore, Ms. Tangu Tumeo worked on the development of a Forest Landscape Restoration monitoring framework and is a government focal point for the USAID/Malawi-funded protecting ecosystems and restoring forests in Malawi (PERFORM) project in Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) implementation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the Mzuzu University and a Graduate Certificate from the Michigan State University in Forest Carbon Science, Policy and Management. Previously she has been monitoring the implementation of government and donor funded programs in the Department of Forestry.
