Swantje Nilsson

Swantje Nilsson has more than two decades of experience in the fields of sustainability, climate, food and agriculture issues, working in governmental institutions, mainly on the national and multi-lateral level, with a focus on organizational development and reform processes, and strategic communication. In search of a holistic perspective, she started her education in biology and majored in social anthropology and language studies. With a passion for interdisciplinarity and cross-cutting themes like the rural- peri-urban – urban continuum or gender, she enjoyed the privilege of playing a role in intergovernmental and multi-stakeholder processes for rights-based approaches like the right to food, the Agenda 2030 or the Paris Agenda, and their implementation. Presently she supports TMG as a consultant with her base in Rome.
