Svea Senesie studied Geography with a focus on development cooperation and agricultural sciences of the tropics and subtropics at the University of Tubingen in Germany. She works as Forestry Officer of the Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) at FAO in Rome where she is the Gender Focal Point of the programme and supports country activities, mainly in Togo and Madagascar linked to the AFR100 initiative. Before joining FAO, she spent several years in Sierra Leone, working for local NGOs and for GIZ in the areas of value chain development, food security and land rights.
