H.E. Mr. Sukhbold Sukhee, the Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Nations, presented his credentials to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on July 31, 2015. He is responsible for multilateral engagement of Mongolia in the UN system, which is considered as one of the fundamental pillars of Mongolia’s foreign policy.
H.E. Mr. Sukhbold Sukhee began his career as an Attaché in the Department of International Organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia in 1999, having joined the Ministry’s Department of Legal and Consular Affairs from 2000-2004. He was Second Secretary in Mongolia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations from 2007 to 2010, having previously been appointed as Third Secretary in the Law and Treaty Department in 2006.
Prior to his appointment, H.E. Mr. Sukhbold Sukhee was Director of the Department of Public Administration and Management at the country’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade, having served as Acting Director of the Treaty and Law Department in 2012 and Deputy Director of the Department of Public Administration and Management from 2010 to 2012.
Further he worked as a National consultant for preparation of the report on Universal Periodic Review on Human Rights Council, United Nations, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in 2014 and between 2004-2007 he was appointed as a Mongolian Delegation to the Inter-Governmental Asia-Pacific Consultation on Refugees and Displaced Persons /China, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam/.
H.E. Mr. Sukhbold Sukhee also participates actively in civil, public and international affairs. He is a Member, Executive Board of the Mongolian Cricket Association and Executive Director of MGIMO-Mongol NGO.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, and a bachelor’s degree in public international law from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in the Russian Federation.
