Steve Beck

Steve Beck is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Novastar Ventures, a $200 million VC with offices in Nairobi, Lagos and London. Novastar manages two venture funds that back exceptional entrepreneurs innovating business models that advance social justice and environmental restoration in sub-Saharan Africa. Steve’s professional career combines 20 years’ strategy consulting and business leadership experience, six years in international philanthropy, and more than a decade of investing in early stage businesses in Africa. Steve earned an A.B. with Distinction from Stanford University in Economics and International Relations, and a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics.
