Dr. Samer Elshehawi is an ecohydrologist and associate researcher at the Greifswald Mire Centre in Germany. Currently, he is the coordinator for the Nile Basin Peatland project and author of ‘Groundwater isotopes and ecohydrological analysis of peatland landscapes’ (PhD 2019; University of Groningen, the Netherlands) and ‘Assessment of Carbon (CO2) emissions avoidance potential from the Nile Basin peatlands
