Experienced academic in the field of peatland restoration, environmental science data, and engagement with national/international policy makers, NGOs, community groups to disseminate, support and develop programmes of peatland restoration. A contributing advisor to national (DEFRA England Peat Action Plan) and international ecosystem restoration policy (UNEP Global Peatlands Assessment), with strong collaborative experience with multi-stakeholder research projects as Principle Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I), totaling UKRI/EU funding approx. £250,000 and public dissemination of findings (e.g., event coordinator COP26). Key technical skills in field surveying, environmental DNA (eDNA) and bioinformatics.
