Napo Province pays special attention to entrepreneurship and the popular and solidarity economy. The prefecture leads the strategy of the “Chakra Seal” to position the ancestral, agroforestry, diversified and sustainable productive models of the “Amazon Chakra”, managed by Kichwas and Quijos Ecuadorian Amazonian indigenous peoples. The “Chakra Seal” promotes diversified agroforestry systems, facilitates access to markets, promotes responsible consumption, and (re-) valorizes the agri-food heritage, making visible the link between food, indigenous Amazonian culture, nature, ancestral knowledge, and women.
