Rik Overmars

Rik Overmars is Business Development Manager at SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. He has worked for over 20 years implementing projects on agroforestry systems, value chains and market based approaches in southern Africa, the Amazon and Southeast Asia. Rik works currently at early stage development of grant proposals for climate mitigation and adaptation, and has been involved in various landscape proposals as well as the proposal for the Dutch Fund for Climate & Development. Rik has an interest in understanding business and stakeholder realities when promoting inclusive business solutions to address poverty and sustainability, and the role development cooperation can play. He also is a small investor in cocoa production in Peru facing climate change issues in practice, and what can be done about it.
