Phoebe is a self-driven, highly motivated lady with honors in Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Engineering from the University of Nairobi and MSc. in Climate Change Adaptation from the same University. Phoebe has over six years’ experience in GIS and Remote Sensing. She works for RCMRD/SERVIR-Eastern & Southern Africa as a Remote Sensing Specialist. For the last three years, Phoebe managed the Land Cover for GHG Inventories project in which Land Cover maps were developed for nine countries — Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda and Lesotho — for support in GHG Inventories. She is currently the project manager for System Land Based Emissions Estimation in Kenya-Land Cover Change developing Land Cover maps and Change Assessment for Kenya (between 1990 and 2015) for use in land based emissions estimation. She also supports and coordinates related workshops, training services and advisory services to the member countries.
