Pedro Magalhães – commonly known as Pê – is a passionate social scientist and environmentalist hailing from the Cerrado landscapes of central Brazil. He is currently the GLFx LAC Hub Officer, responsible for amplifying the transformative efforts of GLFx Chapters Latin America and the Caribbean and collaborate on developing systemic alternatives to counter the destructive impacts of extractivism on the region. Pê counts with over five years of work experience in different international organizations and NGOs focused on socio-environmental matters, in addition to over ten years of activist engagement with social movements, youth organizations, and political parties within the Brazilian context. With an MA in Development Management from the Ruhr University Bochum, Pê counts with a strong background in project management, community building, grassroots engagement, and knowledge sharing & management. His work is fueled by a deep passion for driving meaningful change for people and the planet.
