Paulo Roberto de Oliveira Araujo is Head of Department at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES). He has extensive experience in international institutional fundraising and external relations, overseeing strategies for engagement with institutional investors and multilateral organizations. His expertise includes infrastructure financing and economic development, with recent involvement in operations with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) for the Sertão Vivo project in Brazil’s Northeast region. His work contributes to strengthening BNDES’s position in the national and international financial landscape through strategic partnerships and resource mobilization. Mr. Paulo Araujo has worked in structured finance transactions in BNDES, including in a recent GCF-IFAD-BNDES transaction with some blended finance components.
