Patience is a PhD candidate in Environmental Economics and Management at the University of Agriculture Makurdi Benue State, Nigeria. Her research aims to investigate forest cover change and the contributions of Non-formally Protected Areas (NFPAs) to forest resources conservation. She believes that landscapes outside formally protected areas such as community forests play important roles in biodiversity and landscape protection and preservation.

She also holds bachelor’s in Forestry and Wildlife Management, and a master’s in Environmental Forestry and Management.
