Patience possesses a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years, during which time she has worked in different placements directly engaged with matters relating to environmental and natural resource management. She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management and a Master of Science in Tropical Forestry as well as several other professional qualifications.
Patience is currently the Country Manager for Fairventures Worldwide in Uganda. She has also previously worked for the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) of Uganda, UNU-FLORES in Dresden, Germany as well as at the Parliament of Uganda, as Coordinator for the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank & IMF, among others.
Patience is very passionate about the environment and climate change issues, and has actively participated in preparatory activities for COP21, COP22, COP23 and COP24, as a member and Vice-Chairperson of the Mitigation thematic group of the Ugandan delegation to the UNFCCC- COP since 2015.
A quite jolly and amiable character, very passionate about protection and preservation of the environment and has actively campaigned against the destruction of forests and wetlands.
Her hobbies include reading, nature walks, gardening, camping and wild safaris.
