Paloma Costa, a climate activist from Brasília, holds a Law degree and is completing her studies in Social Science and Anthropology at the University of Brasília. She was appointed a Youth Advisor to UN Secretary-General António Guterres as part of the inaugural Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. Paloma has served as a legal advisor at Instituto Socioambiental, focusing on climate and indigenous rights, and supported Brazil’s first climate litigation action (ADPF 760). She co-founded EduClima and Fridays for Future Brazil, mobilizing youth climate action. She has participated in numerous international climate events, including the UN Youth Climate Summit and COP conferences, and was part of the Youth Pavilion at COP27. Paloma has been recognized by UOL, Sachamama, and Época Negócios for her influence in climate activism and is a co-founder of the #FreeTheFuture movement and Youth Climate Justice Fund (YCJF).
