Nina Duarte, is a Brazilian forest engineer with a master’s degree in tropical agroforestry systems from Costa Rica. She has over 18 years of practical and research experience in ecological restoration, organic agriculture, and network-based work in the Chocó Andino Model Forest in Ecuador. She is the co-author of nine technical guides on restoration and the use of non-conventional edible plants in tropical montane forests. Nina is a project coordinator at the Imaymana Foundation and a member of the Ecuadorian Seed Guardians Network, the Ibero-American Model Forest Network (RLBM), the Slow Food community, and the Chocó Andino Forest School Network.
