Muslim Razhapbaev is the Acting Head of the Laboratory for Economics and Forestry at the Research and Production Center for Forest Research of the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic where he has worked since 2000. Formerly it was the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic where he served as Scientific Secretary. He has a degree in environmental protection and is qualified as an environmental engineer. He held an internship at the All-Russian Research Institute of Forestry (Russia). His research interests are in forest management and economics.
