BISSECK Epse YIGBEDEK Monique Catherine is a lawyer by education, including international environmental law. She is the Regional Coordinator of the African Women’s Network for Sustainable Development (REFADD). She is also one of the Civil Society Representatives on the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife of Cameroon. In addition, Monique Catherine is the Director of the Organisation for Nature, Environment and Development of Cameroon (ONED), through which she coordinates REFADD’s activities. Prior to her election to REFADD in November 2015, she worked for nearly 16 years at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) where she held regional positions, cumulatively with the functions of IUCN Gender Focal Point for Central Africa.
