Mirna studied Environmental Engineering and Fine Arts in Bolivia. She later completed a master’s degree in Biodiversity and Tropical Ecosystems with the Erasmus Mundus TROPIMUNDO Master’s program and is co-founder of Reacción Climática, a citizen’s collective promoting joint actions against climate change in Bolivia. She is also part of the steering committee of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), and co-founder of its Bolivian chapter Kaaijayu (GYBN-Bolivia). Her work experience includes environmental management, formal and non-formal education, political advocacy and technical assistance to Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
