Mary Seiwah Afram is a dynamic young professional working in the intersections of artificial intelligence, project management and capacity building.
She currently serves as the Ghana focal person for the FAIR Forward – Artificial Intelligence for All initiative under GIZ. In this role, she actively advances the project’s mission to democratize access to artificial intelligence through inclusive, locally driven approaches. The initiative has spearheaded several AI-for-Agriculture activities in Ghana and other 6 partner countries it operates in with one being an early pest and disease detection model using drones on some cashew farms in Ghana.
Mary has also led three cohorts of the AI Fellowship program for young people in Ghana, with the most recent cohort dedicated exclusively to empowering women in the AI ecosystem.
