Gathering expertise for over 14 years and working with various financial institutions, Martin has a strong banking background, combining structuring expertise of complex private equity debt transactions with international negotiation skills. Before joining Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2011, he has worked as a free-lance debt advisor, held various positions at Unicredit Corporates & Markets in Germany and France, as well as BNP Paribas. His recent work experience as Deputy Head of the Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance includes identifying and negotiating terms with private equity investors in the context of designing, structuring and implementing a seed capital assistance facility initiated by the United Nations Environment Program in sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia aimed to help clean energy entrepreneurs access enterprise development support and early stage seed capital. Moreover, Martin is a Managing Director of Frankfurt School Financial Services, a regulated financial advisory company for development and impact finance mandates.
