Dr. Mao Amis is the Founder and Executive Director of the African Centre for a Green Economy (AfriCGE), a pan-African think tank advancing inclusive climate action, sustainable land use, and locally led economic transitions across Africa.
His work focuses on strengthening the connection between ecosystem stewardship, rural livelihoods, and climate finance, supporting communities, governments, and enterprises to restore degraded landscapes while building resilient local economies. Dr. Amis works across nature-based solutions, regenerative agriculture, circular economy models, and community enterprise development, with a strong emphasis on indigenous knowledge systems and just transitions. He is a regular contributor to regional and global policy dialogues on climate resilience, green jobs, and community-driven pathways to Sustainable development
