Felipe Henao, 26, is a young man from the department of Guaviare, born in the municipality of Calamar, (Colombian Amazon) with training as an ecological agricultural technician from SENA. Felipe leads environmental school education initiatives in the buffer zones of the Serrania del Chiribiquete National Natural Park. He has been a social promoter in the Guaviare government for children and youth issues, also with his daughter Valeria je leads the “Guardianes del Chiribiquete” school, composed of 30 children and adolescents. In 2019, Felipe was awarded the national prize for young talent, and represented Colombia in London at the “One Young World” summit and since 2017 he has represented the country in the meetings of the Pacific Alliance on the theme of entrepreneurship and youth employability with an environmental approach.
