As Sustainable Landscapes Coordinator for the Mexico Program of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Luciana works with the federal and subnational government to ensure that GGGI provides strong and effective support to achieve national development goals related to sustainable landscapes in alignment with the country’s NDC and its international environmental commitments, leaving no one behind.

Luciana has been involved in the field of international development for over 16 years. Before joining GGGI, she worked in the public sector, in international organizations and as a consultant, related to the management of natural resources in rural areas, strategies for reducing deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) through integrated landscape management, among other topics related to the productive conservation of nature, increasing the resilience of socio-ecological systems, and safeguarding people’s well-being.

She holds a M.Sc. in Global Environmental Change from King’s College London (KCL) and a BA in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
