Laura Madrid is an advisor with the Sector Programme Resilient Rural Areas at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). She works as an advisor to the German National Focal Point of the UNCCD and holds a degree in international development with a concentration on human rights and agriculture. She has six years of experience in international development cooperation across GIZ and international NGOs working mainly on rural development and sustainable land- and resources management.
