Dr. Khosro SAGHEB-TALEBI is Associate Professor and Head of the Forest Research Division, Research Institute of Forests & Rangelands, RIFR, Tehran, Iran. He also serves as the Head of the RIFR Office of International Affairs and Public Relations. He received a BScin Forest Engineering and MSc in Silviculture from the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Tehran. His PhD in Silviculture is from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH-Zurich. He has held numerous offices in IUFRO and currently serves as Coordinator of the Research Group on Ecology and Silviculture of Beech and Deputy Coordinator of Division 1, Silviculture. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Iranian Journal of Forest and Poplar Research (IJFPR) and teaches Silviculture and Forest Ecology at the Universities of Tehran and Gorgan. His research focuses on the silviculture and ecology of Caspian beech forests (Fagus orientalis).
