Mr. Keriako Tobiko is Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Environment and Forestry since January 2018. Before his appointment, Mr.Tobiko was the Director of Public Prosecutions, the first holder of the office under the Constitution of Kenya 2010, having been first appointed in 2005. He was re-designated as the Chief Public Prosecutor in August 2010 and appointed to head the independent constitutional office in June 2011. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and formerly a lecturer at the University of Nairobi.

Other positions he has occupied include: Commissioner for the Commission of Inquiry into the Land Law Systems in Kenya, Director of Public Prosecutions for the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission, member of the Commonwealth Group of contact persons on International Cooperation in criminal matters, member of the Governing Council of the National Crime Research Centre (NCRC), to mention just a few.

Mr. Tobiko is an alumni of the University of Nairobi and Cambridge University.
