Kamal Prawiranegara joined CIFOR-ICRAF in 2010 and currently serves as Director of the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on sustainable landscapes, having reached over 4 billion people in 175 countries and informed over 25,000 organizations. Working in close collaboration with GLF’s 35 Charter Members and Engaged Partners, he drives the Forum’s long-term vision and amplifies its impact on climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development worldwide.
Prior to joining CIFOR-ICRAF, Kamal served as International Stakeholder Relations Officer with the post-tsunami rehabilitation agency in Aceh and Nias (BRR), coordinated UN–World Bank missions in Papua, and developed tourism strategies for the Jakarta City Government. He speaks English, Indonesian, and Dutch.
