Juan Manuel Herrera

Since 2000, Juan has been a Nuevo Becal ejido member and has been promoting community forestry companies through the development of productive projects. He is currently the technical director of the ARS Forest Producers of Calakmul A.C., where they are promoting a complementary model of enhancement of the good practices carried out by forest communities, viable alternative of recognition in voluntary markets of environmental services and carbon sequestration. Since 2016, he has worked in a coordinated manner on the implementation of 11 Areas Voluntarily Designated for Conservation for the Calakmul region and southern Quintana Roo.
