Juan Francisco García

Specialist - Ecological Restoration

Juan Francisco García is a forestry engineer with more than 20 years of experience in ecological restoration addressing different degradation and deforestation problems in Colombia. His work has been focused on biophysical characterization, environmental diagnosis, prioritization of areas for restoration, and intervention models of degraded areas. Juan Francisco has worked in diverse institutions such as the National Natural Parks Agency (PNN in Spanish) and the botanical garden of Bogotá, and currently, Juan Francisco is a specialist in ecological restoration at WWF Colombia.
