Joshua is an internationally recognized expert on measuring biodiversity impacts and dependencies of companies and financial institutions. He was a consultant on the Align project – the EU project on harmonization of biodiversity impacts measurement – intervened at COP15 UN Biodiversity Conference, and is regularly consulted on disclosure frameworks (TNFD, GRI, CSRD), measurement tools (e.g. he is a member of the BISI technical committee) and biodiversity credits schemes.

He has over 10 years of experience of collaborating with companies, research institutes and public organisations on biodiversity-related issues. He led the Biodiversity Footprint department of CDC Biodiversité for 5 years and took the Global Biodiversity Score (GBS) from an idea and a prototype to a tool for measuring the impacts & dependencies of companies on biodiversity, and an ecosystem of dozens of users. Biodiversity economist and international ecological restoration professional, he also previously worked in China (3 years), Togo, Ivory Coast and the EU on biodiversity conservation at international level (restoration of wetlands, protected areas, financing of biodiversity, etc.) and the coordination of international donor projects. Today, he is a member of the interim Secretariat of the Ecosystem Condition Protocol. He is also the founder of The Biodiversity Footprint Intelligence Company (BioInt).
