Jorge Agurto

Jorge Agurto is the Founder and director of Servindi, a virtual media platform in Peru specializing in Indigenous, environmental, and climate change topics. Over the past 20 years, he has dedicated himself to supporting Indigenous organizations by promoting their collective rights and strengthening their leadership through intercultural communication. He has provided consultancy services on social communication strategies, social agenda building, and production in various communication formats. A social communicator and journalist by trade, he is primarily self-taught. His identity roots lie with the Sechura people, from the northern coast of Peru.
