Joky’s educational background is tropical forestry at the Agricultural University in Wageningen with a specialization in Social Forestry. After her studies. she worked for 20 years in different countries in the south (Pakistan, Ecuador and Bolivia) in the context of sustainable management of natural resources and sustainable production systems. She mainly focused on participatory learning processes, involvement of women and the promotion of processes of change. Since 2016, she is working in the Netherlands for Rainforest Alliance as a gender theme lead working towards gender mainstreaming within the organization’s standard and programs.
