Irene Baños Ruiz

Irene Baños Ruiz is a Spanish multimedia journalist focused on environment and climate change. Since 2016 she has been a regular contributor to the environment section of Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcaster, and is currently involved in developing DW Akademie’s communication strategy on media and information literacy and environmental journalism in Latin America. She also works as a trainer, lecturer and writer for various media and institutions. She is the author of the book Ecoansias (Ariel, 2020) and co-author of Accionistas del Cambio (BoldLetters, 2022) and Che cosa è la bioeconomia (Edizioni Ambiente, 2019).
