Ingvild Solvang is the Sustainability and Safeguards Manager of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) currently based in Seoul, South Korea. A social anthropologist educated at the University of Oslo, Ingvild is the custodian of GGGI’s strategies for poverty reduction, gender equality and social inclusion across a global program. These strategies include expanded access to sustainable services, economic empowerment and climate adaptation from angle of GGGI’s four thematic areas, i.e. Sustainable Landscapes, Water, Energy and Green Cities. She has 20 years’ experience in international development and humanitarian sectors, and is passionate about working in multi-disciplinary teams to address the core barriers to sustainable development in the context of climate change and environmental degradation. Ingvild is a Norwegian national, and she has worked globally throughout her career with a base in Asia, primarily Indonesia where she lived for 16 years.
